Mens T – Cranes

Birds were considered to be messengers of the gods by The Celts as they could travel between Heaven and Earth. The Book of Kells features many beautiful birds in this style – the book is a national treasure of Ireland, containing illustrations to gospels by monks as far back as the 6th century. These birds are cranes – they can symbolise peace and parenthood as they have a non-confrontational manner in nature and unlike many creatures in the wild, both parents look after the young. These graceful birds are now rarely sighted in Ireland. An original design by Lisa O’Connor.
