Mens Zip Hoody – An Táin

55,00

An Táin (pronounced ‘un tawn’, meaning ‘the bull’ in Irish) depicts a battle scene from the 12th century epic poem An Táin Bó Cuailnge. On behalf of the red haired warrior Queen Medb (pronounced ‘Maeve’) the warriors of Connacht (Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo) confront those of Ulster (Northern Ireland) for possession of the great brown bull of Cooley. The wild queen marched her army around the Cooley Peninsula, County Louth in search of the powerfull Bull. The belief and fear of Queen Medb lives on in the west of Ireland. An original design by Mike O’Connor. The large design is on the back, while the front has a small crest print of a singular bull.
